Petrus Gero Kepada media ini (27/10/2020) mengatakan pertama, Saya menyampaikan selamat kepada keluarga besar PLN yang memperingati Hari Listrik Nasional yang ke 75 tahun, Menerangi Indonesia Memajukan Bangsa.
Apresiasi juga saya berikan atas kerja keras PLN yang telah menjangkau layanan sampai kepada Desa-Desa dan Kecamatan sebagai langkah maju pemenuhan listrik sebagai kebutuhan dasar masyarakat.
Besar harapan saya agar, kualitas layanan terhadap kepuasan konsumen terus ditingkatkan. Perluasan jaringan untuk menjangkau beberapa desa atau dusun yang belum terpasang untuk mewujudkan impian Lembata Terang. Ungakap Gero.

Petrus Gero meminta agar pihak PLN senantiasa, melakukan Pemeliharaan jaringan sehingga, tidak menimbulkan gangguan aliran listrik sampai ke konsumen. Namun demikian lanjut Gero, hal ini membutuhkan dukungan dan peran masyarakat dimana pada titik tertentu masyarakat mesti merelakan agar, pohon atau tanaman yang dilewati oleh jaringan listrik, untuk dipangkas PLN.
Diakhir pertemuan Petrus Gero mengajak untuk semua konsumen PLN untum Mari menggunakan listrik secara cerdas, tidak untuk penerangan semata tetapi, lebih dari itu untuk membantu menciptakan lapangan kerja untuk meningkatkan ekonomi rumah tangga maupun ekonomi masyarakat Lembata.
Sementara itu Direktur CV Santika Karya yang menggeluti bidang kelistrikan, Medy Yuditha Punang kepada media ini mengatakan, Kami dan tentu banyak pihak berharap agar ada upaya pemerintah maupun PLN untuk melakukan ekspansi jaringan agar masyarakat di daerah terpencil bisa menikmati listrik.
Yuditha mengatakan, ekspansi atau perluasan jaringan listrik melalui program listrik pedesaan PT PLN PERSERO memang perlu di kembangkan, dengan demikian, masyrakat atau beban yang berada didekat sistim kelistrikan dan pengembangan interkoneksi jaringan yang di lakukan bisa mendapatkan beban yang lebih baik.
Punang meminta agar, bagi masyrakat yang tinggal di pedalaman dan jaraknya jauh dari instalasi listrik PLN, mungkin cara yang lebih efektif adalah pemerintah melakukan, pembagian lampu tenaga surya hemat energi.ms
