Bupati Sunur mengatakan, kapal ini dimaksudkan untuk peningkatan pelayaran regional dengan jarak dekat dan untuk saat ini kapal jenis Rede ini, akan beroperasi dengan rute pendek dari Lembata menuju ke Adonara yakni di pelabuhan Deri Kecamatan Adonara Timur Kabupaten Flores Timur,kapal ini juga bisa mengangkut penumpang dan kendaraan roda dua maupun roda empat dengan rute Lembata ( Waijarang ) Adonara ( LA ) yang bersandar di pelabuhan Deri Kecamatan Adotim Kabupaten Flotim.
Kapal jenis Rede rencananya akan berlayar setiap hari dalam masa percobaan dengan melihat pengaturan jam, pemerintah menginginkan kapal ini berlayar 1 hari 2 kali PP dengan waktu berangkat pagi jam 7 dari Lembata dan berlanjut hingga sore hari.mungkin ada peluang lanjutan kapal jenis Rede ini akan melanglang buana menuju ke pelabuhan Menanga yang ada di Solor itu untuk kedepannya.

Sementara untuk soal tarif kapal ini bupati Sunur menjelaskan bahwa untuk sementara kapal jenis Rede di gratiskan dan tidak di pungut biaya apapun yang berlaku bagi orang- orang atau penumpang namun barangnya tidak seperti mobil,motor dan barang bawaan lainnya dalam kapasitas besar tentunya berbayar,dalam tanda kutip Penumpang yang tidak membawa barang sehingga pihak Pemerintah juga kembali melihat di Peraturan Daerah ( Perda ) untuk akan dikenakan biaya untuk sementara gratis.
Hadirnya Kapal jenis Rede ini hadir untuk membuka dan memperlancar akses jalur Penyeberangan disisi lain bisa mendorong sektor ekonomi dan mobilisasi untuk orang yang hendak ke Lembata ataupun ke Adonara .(MST)
